SAULT STE. MARIE, Mich. – American and Canadian active, honorably discharged and retired military personnel, police officers and firefighters, are being invited by Kewadin Casinos to sign up for the Valor Card starting Nov. 11 at all five Kewadin Casinos locations.
The card is being launched at all five Kewadin Casinos as part of the Northern Rewards Club to recognize and thank these members for their service. The launch of the Valor Card is timed with Kewadin’s Veterans Day promotion on Nov. 11. On Veterans Day, those eligible for the card will receive a $1 United States mint coin honoring Code Talkers of World War I and World War II—while supplies last—as well as a Valor Card, list of benefits and $10 in Kewadin Credits. Valor Card holders visiting the casino also will receive double the points from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. that day and enjoy a coffee and baked goods social from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

“Veterans Day is Nov. 11, making it an important occasion to honor our brave veterans, past and present, with the Valor Card,” Kewadin Casinos CEO Ron Olson said. “It’s appropriate that those of us at Kewadin Casinos give back to our veterans and customers in any way we can.”
Customers must be active or retired military personnel, police officers or firefighters and show proof of their service in order to receive the Valor Card.
Kewadin Casinos is also creating a wall inside Kewadin Casino Sault Ste. Marie’s Bahweting Art Gallery to honor Sault Tribe member and employee veterans. The wall will begin displaying photos and other items starting Nov. 11. Veterans are asked to bring in photos and items from their time in service to include in the display.
There are numerous casinos located in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, but no brand has more locations than the KewadinCasinos. Michiganders can find no less than five Kewadin properties scattered around the U.P.
The Kewadin Casinos are owned and operated by the Sault Ste. Marie Tribe of Chippewa Indians and each of the five locations maintains its own amenities, features and identity. The casinos all have an age requirement of 19 years and older.

The five Kewadin Casinos opened sports betting kiosks at all five locations in December 2020.
The Kewadin Casinos will soon have an online casino as well. The Sault Ste. Marie Tribe announced in April 2020 that it had reached an agreement with venerable gaming provider GAN to power its online gaming operations.
Further, Wynn Interactive is going to be the brand for the partnership.
